Biography

Kathryn Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and thesis in sculpture. Passionate about sharing art, she joined the school's Student Art Association and rose the ranks to be elected president. With that role she created more opportunities for students to create art within their community, learn from successful artists, engage in extracurricular workshops, and participate in local gallery showings.

Now as an art teacher, Ms. Taylor's dream has come true to share art and inspire others to create. She loves to connect with her students about the topics they are passionate about and how they can use art to recreate ideas. She often finds that simply creating art alongside her students can inspire them further to make more art.

Ms. Taylor currently lives at home with her partner and their pets, a long haired dachshund named Ladybug, and two cats, Drucilla and Gyspy. In her downtime she draws, reads and plays board games. As a third generation artist, she was raised in appreciating and finding art all around her, and hopes to instill those values in all of her students. “Every child is an artist; the problem is staying an artist when you grow up” – Pablo Picasso.
