Eleanor Kolitz Hebrew Language Academy (EKHLA) is a K–8, tuition-free public charter school dedicated to academic excellence and character development. We offer a rich, innovative curriculum
led by passionate educators who provide extraordinary student support. At EKHLA, each teacher
truly knows their students as individuals and is committed to educating the
whole child—cultivating graciousness, kindness, and tolerance in a nurturing learning environment.

Interested in becoming an EKHLA Ram?

Each year, Open Enrollment for the upcoming school year takes place during the
month of February. While February is our official enrollment window, we continue to
accept applications for both the upcoming and current school year on a rolling basis, as space allows.
 
We encourage families to apply early to secure their spot and join the EKHLA community!
If you have any questions about the application or enrollment process, please contact our Registrar at [email protected]. We are happy to guide you through each step and look

My son started at EKHLA for kindergarten during the COVID pandemic. The teachers quickly adapted to engaging meaningfully with the students despite remote connections. Over the years, my now fifth grader has developed a strong group of friends who challenge each other academically. He has also enjoyed the sports programs offered at EKHLA. EKHLA fosters an environment of inclusion and respects diversity. With such a diverse group of children, it is inspirational how they all come together to support each other. Community is everything, and EKHLA is the best!
