Biography
Mrs. Megan Kelso-Teel received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in German Linguistics from The University of Alabama. While at the university, she worked as the Building Manager for the Student Center and an Engineering Tutor for the College of Engineering. Mrs. Kelso-Teel also earned her Engineer in Training license. Although Mrs. Kelso-Teel graduated with a degree in Engineering, her true passions were math and helping others to succeed.
After graduating, Mrs. Kelso-Teel worked as a Mechanical HVAC Engineer for three years before making the career change to teaching. She has been the fourth-grade math teacher since August 2021. While at EKHLA, she has also taught sixth-grade math. Additionally, Mrs. Kelso-Teel has been the Director of After School Care since August 2022.
Mrs. Kelso-Teel has loved every moment of being an educator. The best part of her day is seeing students get excited about understanding math. In her free time, Mrs. Kelso-Teel enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, bird watching, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
