Biography

Ms. Morris graduated from Tufts University in 1999, and continued her post graduate education at The George Washington University when she decided to become a teacher. She began teaching in Fairfax County, Virginia - just outside the nation's capital - in 2001. After leaving the DC area, she returned to her hometown of San Antonio and began teaching at EKHLA in 2017. She had a quick stint teaching history, but she returned to the subject that she holds near and dear to her heart - Language Arts. Teaching English Language Arts and Reading continues to instill a love of reading and community through her class. She stands by her motto, "Today's EKHLA readers, tomorrow's EKHLA leaders" and could not imagine doing anything else but teaching middle school.
Ms. Morris is the mother of two amazing young people, her greatest accomplishments yet. She spends as much of her free time with family and friends, and she enjoys reading, cooking, entertaining, watching movies, and dreaming of filling her passport.
