Governor Abbot issued the executive order that all public schools will be closed until May 4th.

Yesterday Governor Abbot issued the executive order that all public schools will be closed until May 4th. Given this requirement, EKHLA will delay the possibility of returning to the campus until that time. If there is an additional time change, we will let you know.

Extending our school closure till April 24, 2020
As most of you know, on Monday, Mayor Ron Nirenberg expanded his emergency order for the city of San Antonio, to include a ‘stay at home’ order through April 9th. Given this decision and that we continue to see community spread with COVID-19, EKHLA will remain closed through April 24.
EKHLA's continuity for education starts Thursday 3/19/2020
EKHLA families are asked to come pick up their student's educational books and materials on Thursday and Friday, March 19 and 20 through the carpool line according to the following schedule:

COVID-19 update March 17, 2020
Thank you for your understanding as we all try and navigate this unprecedented new territory and keep up with rapid changing developments, as they relate to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We remain in constant communication with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) who continues to work with the Office of the Governor, Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to coordinate and plan the state’s response to COVID-19. We are also in contact with our local health officials and other school districts as well.
