Biography

Emily Dobson is originally from Pensacola, Florida, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Professional Education at the University of West Florida.

She began her work experience during college, where she worked at an after school program for children ages 5 to 11. After graduating college, she worked as an Inclusion Paraprofessional for sixth and seventh grade English Language Arts. She relocated to San Antonio at the beginning of 2020 and worked as a substitute until schools closed their doors due to COVID. Ms. Dobson has been teaching at EKHLA since 2020 and has taught ELA, Science, Social Studies, and middle school Texas History.

Outside of school, Ms. Dobson enjoys reading books, playing volleyball, and gardening. She chose to become a teacher because her teachers growing up were the most influential people in her life. Ms. Dobson loves to teach because she loves to see her students engaged, interested, and having fun in science and history class!
