Dear EKHLA Families and Friends:
As EKHLA forges through the 11th year as a successful open enrollment public charter school, I am excited to chair the upcoming 8th annual EKHLA Excellence Luncheon. This event will celebrate the academic excellence of the school as a whole and its students individually, as well as fundraise to support continued excellence.
We are thrilled to honor Brian Feld. He is the current President of the EKHLA Board of Trustees, an EKHLA parent, committed leader in the San Antonio community, and avid supporter of EKHLA. The luncheon event will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:15am @ Congregation Agudas Achim, San Antonio.
Our goal is to raise $100,000. This amount will help fund increased security on the campus (ie. full time off-duty police officer and continued upgrades of security measures around campus). We need YOUR SUPPORT to help EKHLA reach our goal. The event will include performances and presentations by EKHLA students, updates from school leadership, student art displays, and more. Due to the sold-out nature of past events, we are continuing last year’s event format in order to accommodate more people. You will be able to purchase a “concert only” ticket for $40. This ticket will give you general seating for only the children’s performance portion of the event, which will take place in the main sanctuary of the synagogue.
The luncheon and presentations will take place in the Gurinsky Family Social Hall after the concert, and will require a full event ticket or sponsorship. Also, thanks to the Fuller Family donation, we installed a gorgeous Donation Tree in the school. All sponsorship levels of $2,500 or more will be honored with a personally engraved metal leaf, offering year round recognition for your unwavering support of our beloved school. Please Note: Sponsorships received by March 20th will be recognized in the official Event Invitation. Also, the luncheon portion of the event will have a maximum capacity, therefore has potential to sell out. Tables and ticket available will be on a first come, first served basis.
