Nicole Boarnet

Mrs. Boarnet is graduate from Texas A&M University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design (Architecture) and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Boarnet’s background in Architecture built upon her love of math and science, but it wasn’t until she worked for a battered women’s shelter, to build a safe, in-house school for residents, that she realized her passion for education.
Mrs. Boarnet has been teaching privately and in classrooms for the last eight years. She has worked in Northside, Washington and Houston. The majority of Mrs. Boarnet’s teaching career has been in reading and is she is incredibly thankful to be returning to her passion of math and science.
Mrs. Boarnet moved to San Antonio two years ago from Bellingham, Washington, and is no stranger to relocating. In her short (ahem) life, she has lived in six states and three countries. Luckily, this move is for the long term. Mrs. Boarnet has been married for eighteen years to her husband, Darren, and has three boys, Ian (15), Alex (14) and Daniel (11). Her favorite activities are painting, reading, and travel. She loves to camp with her family, although she is slightly less brave than her boy scouts.
Mrs. Boarnet is excited to be a part of the EKHLA community. She believes that if you expect great things of students, they will accomplish great things. She hopes this year she will have the opportunity to show her students her love of learning and provide them with the opportunities to explore their own passions.
